Rise in Business CCJs Enforced by Andrew Wilson & Co Reflects National Trend

Jun 12, 2019

Category: News

Andrew Wilson & Co. have served nearly 2000 more claimants this year based on an increasing number of business County Court Judgments (CCJs) since the same quarter in 2018. National figures recently released by the Registry Trust have shown a 12% increase in the number of county court judgments against all businesses in England and Wales in the first quarter of 2019. The total value of the 35,779 business CCJs was £107.2 million, a rise of 6% compared to the same period of 2018.

Demand for the services of the highly skilled and professional team at Andrew Wilson & Co continues to increase as clients trust this team to quickly find a resolution to whatever enforcement predicament they find themselves in. An increase in business CCJs gives the supporting office, legal team and Enforcement Agents at Andrew Wilson & Co the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to providing the best possible level of customer service.

The Registry Trust also released figures on the average value of an adverse business CCJ. In the first quarter of 2019 it was £2,997, which is 5% lower than the same quarter in 2018. The median value at £933 was 8% lower. Recovering these sums of money can be a very frustrating process, requiring a great deal of experience and expertise. Speaking about the increasing demand for their services, Sarah Roscoe, Managing Director, said the rise in business CCJs presents them with the opportunity to assist more people in recovering funds that are rightfully owed to them.

“Getting to the point of receiving a CCJ can be a lengthy and stressful process. Our clients then engage our services because they trust us to enforce that judgment debt in a swift and robust manner.”

With a proven track record in delivering exceptional service to their clients, Andrew Wilson & Co are leaders in the High Court enforcement industry. They obtain payment in full and resolve more cases quicker than any other High Court Enforcement Office. Key to their success is the attention to detail with each case and a thorough assessment of the circumstances surrounding it before dispatching their Enforcement Agents to the debtors location. They are professional, persistent and understand how much it means to their clients when they finally get a resolution.

The business judgment data released by the Registry Trust is an important indicator of the state of the economy. The number and value of judgments have risen for the third year in a row. Registry Trust is the Registrar of Judgments, Orders and Fines in England and Wales (on behalf of the Ministry of Justice). It provides its licensed credit reference agencies with regular updates on outstanding judgment debts and this information affects the ability of all enterprises to borrow.
