Whilst the bans on residential and commercial evictions have been extended further, our team continues to successfully complete and obtain possession for cases that meet the circumstances for an exemption.
Last month, four of our Enforcement Agents, alongside a team of security guards, executed a Writ of Possession as it met the trespassers exemption – resulting in the removal of around 18 squatters from a pub in South London.
Prior to the attendance, we were informed of the potential risk of a number of dogs being in the building. A dog handler was arranged to accompany our Evictions Team to ensure any dogs located could be safely controlled.
Shortly after 6am on the day of eviction, our client’s locksmith gained entry to the property and our team entered to conduct thorough searches of the premises to establish the number of occupants.
The team explained the situation to the occupants, and it was agreed that they would collect their possessions and vacate the address. Once all occupants were outside and the property was deemed vacant, our client’s contractors secured the building.
Sarah Roscoe, Managing Director of Andrew Wilson & Co., said: “By instructing our team, you are guaranteed to receive a prompt and effective response for any trespasser cases. We can even attend the same day or next working day, if required.
“We also appreciate that when a landlord comes to instruct us it has already proved to be a costly situation for them, therefore, we keep costs for our enforcement services to a minimum.
“With our years of experience and a specially trained nationwide team, landlords can be assured Andrew Wilson & Co. is fully equipped to deal with any incursion whilst keeping our client’s reputation intact. Thanks to our Enforcement Agents Terry, Joanne, Ray and Daniel for their great teamwork and professional approach on this job.”
