Looking the part for Ladies’ Day
Ladies’ Day at Royal Ascot is as famous for its show-stopping outfits as it is for the horse racing action, and this year, it was also a great opportunity to raise funds for Burnley-based charity, Team Rise.
Members of the Wilson & Roe team were invited to attend a Royal Ascot-themed ladies’ lunch alongside guests from our client Pannone Corporate LLP. This special event took place at Finsley Gate Wharf in Burnley, Lancashire, where attendees donned their race-worthy outfits and were greeted with canapés and prosecco before enjoying a two-course meal.
Many of the guests in attendance were people supported by the charity and volunteers, and even the Mayor of Burnley made an appearance. Guests placed bets on the live races taking place at Royal Ascot and took part in an auction and raffle, all to raise vital funds for Team Rise which relies solely on on fundraising and donations.
Team Rise is a registered charity that supports people in East Lancashire with learning disabilities, autism or other vulnerabilities, providing a safe and accessible environment and a wide variety of educational, social and practical activities.
