Wilson & Roe Achieves ECB Accreditation

The ongoing success of Wilson & Roe can be attributed to many factors, but three key principles that have always remained a constant through the years are professionalism integrity and respect.

Now, we are proud to share that we have been awarded accreditation by the Enforcement Conduct Board (ECB), the new independent regulator for the debt enforcement sector in England & Wales.

What does ECB accreditation mean?

ECB accreditation represents a public commitment to accountability and seeking the highest standards of enforcement, as well as to oversight by the ECB.

For accredited companies, like Wilson & Roe, this will mean compliance with a strict framework of criteria and responsibilities in adherence with current Ministry of Justice national standards. Companies are also required to provide regular data reports to the ECB and submit information when requested to ensure that all enforcement action is conducted in line with agreed standards.

What does the accreditation scheme aim to achieve?

The ECB’s main objective is to protect people experiencing enforcement action from unfair treatment and bad practice, and the accreditation scheme will play a big part in making this happen.

Enforcement action is subject to Ministry of Justice regulations, but until now there has been no independent body to oversee the industry and to monitor adherence to national standards. The ECB is here to take on this role.

Choosing the right company to enforce a Judgment

If you or your business want to instruct a High Court Enforcement office, such as Wilson & Roe, to enforce a Judgment, choosing an ECB-accredited company is a great place to start as you can be confident that they strive to meet high standards, best practices and adhere to government regulations.

Additionally, accreditation requires annual renewal so you can be sure that companies within the scheme will be in regular contact with the ECB. Many companies will display the ECB logo to show they are a part of the scheme – you can see ours on this page.
