On 22nd June, we were delighted to welcome members of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM), at our headquarters in Salford, as we hosted an event for their North West branch.
CICM local branches are a valuable resource for credit professionals and provide access to a wealth of knowledge and experience. Amongst many other benefits, local branches hold quarterly events that explore relevant industry topics and offer networking opportunities for members.
After welcoming our guests, we kicked off with a presentation that covered the services Wilson & Roe provides as a High Court Enforcement Office and how we assist the credit industry.
A brief history of the sector was then delivered, and we discussed the role, powers and responsibilities of enforcement agents. This included what an agent can and can’t do, as well as dispelling any common misconceptions.
Further activities on the day included a presentation from business and asset valuation specialists Cerberus Asset Management and Charles Taylor Auctioneers. After talking over a delicious lunch, catered by Open Kitchen Catering, we then gave a tour of our auction house – an asset that gives Wilson & Roe an edge over our competitors.
We finished the day with one of our senior enforcement managers who gave guests an insight into the day-to-day life of an enforcement agent, including the challenges they face out on the road.
